Vera Alexandropoulou is a lawyer specializing in fund structures, shipping law, energy, and sustainability. She has served as a research associate at Harvard Business School, worked at law firms in New York, London, Athens and at the Piraeus Port Authority, while maintaining her own law office in Piraeus. She is a mentor in business incubators, the Vice President of Thalassa Foundation, a member of WISTA, HELMEPA, AE4RIA, Leading Women for the Ocean, and cooperates with Athena Research and Innovation Center. Vera has served as a member of the Senior Advisory Group at the World Maritime University (IMO) and is currently a member of the Working Group on “Higher education curriculum on Data for Ocean Biodiversity Observing and Capacity-Development”at the World Maritime University (IMO) . To bridge the gap between traditional learning and the skills required for the vessels of the future, Vera co-founded SeaOrama, an immersive, digital, gamified marine and maritime academy.
